Henry^7 Van Wicklen (Peter^6, John^5, Jacob^4, Garret^3, Gerrit^2, Jentie^1 Jeppes) was b. 9 January 1842, Wolver Hollow, NY and d. 8 September 1869, L.I., NY (buried Brookville Cemetery). He m. Debroh Adelia Vernon (b. 27 September 1848, d. 27 August 1891, L.I., NY, bur. Brookville Cem.), the dau. of Thomas and Phebe (Snediker) Vernon. They had two children before Henry d. in 1869. Debroh then m. Henry's brother, Peter.

Children: Mary^8 Van Wicklen, b. 20 July 1866, L.I., NY. She m. Josiah Dow (b. 1860) 4 November 1885 and they had three children; Elizabeth^8 Remson Van Wicklen, b. 7 January 1869, East Norwich, LI, NY and d. 17 September 1929, Roslyn, NY. She m. Amza Biggs Horton (b. 1877, d. 1927) in 1895. They had three children.

1870 US Census for Oyster Bay, Queens, NY lists the household of Thomas Vernon, 47, keeper of town poor, and wife, Phoebe Vernon, 42, keeping house with their daughter, Adelia Van Wicklen (widow of Henry who dies 1869), 21, keeping house, Margaret Van Wicklen, 14, Emma Van Wicklen, 10, Daniel D. Van Wicklen, 8, Mary Van Wicklen, 5, and Elizabeth Van Wicklen, 3. Mary and Elizabeth are the children of Adelia, but the parents of Margaret, Emma, and Daniel D. are unclear. (1880 US Census does not list Margaret, Emma, and Daniel as Van Wicklens) 

1880 US Census for Oyster Bay, Queens, NY lists Thomas Vernon, head, 56, b. NY, farmer, with Phoebe Vernon, wife, 52, Maggie, 22, Emma, 20, and Daniel, 17. Also in household are Mary Van Wicklen, granddaughter, 15, and Elizabeth Van Wicklen, 12, granddaughter.

1880 US Census for Oyster Bay, Queens, NY lists Peter Van Wicklen, 31, farmer, with Deborah, 30, keeps house, and Rosa, 8, Susan, 4, and Addie, 8 months. (Index spells name as Peter VanNickle)

Harry Macy research notes on Henry^7 Van Wicklen gives Henry's eldest daughter the name May^8 (Mannie) Van Wicklen. He also claims that May and Elizabeth were living 1880 with grandparents Vernon.
